I am Yeung Shing Wai, Kyle, a student in the Community College of City University studying the Associate of Business, major in accounting.
Although my studies in secondary school have come to an end quickly, but the skills I acquired are long-lasting. In the past three years, I learnt a lot from my studies and other learning experience. I learnt how to cooperate with others, how to communicate with others, how to… But the most important is, I realized my dream in my study.
In my senior form, I thought that Accounting was the most difficult subject. I always ignored it and just paid effort on other subjects. However, once my teacher said ‘Escape cannot solve the problem! We must face the challenge.’ She encouraged me and taught me patiently again. I felt ashamed at that time and tried my best to concentrate on studying Accounting lessons. I planned my schedule and set a target which restricts me to do two exercises every day. After a period of time, my Accounting result had improved a lot. I felt confident and I do Accounting exercises and past paper every day until now. Now, I will no longer try to escape from my responsibility whenever I encounter any difficulties in the future.
Apart from that, I even found the fun of doing Accounting. I love studying Accounting and I hope I can study accounting at university and become an accountant in the future.
Moreover, being the committee members of the Community Youth Club in secondary school, I learnt how to cooperate and communicate with others. Though organizing different activities, I learnt how to assign the works to the team members properly and gather their work to turn into a final product. I know the importance of team work. Since one person cannot handle the huge workload, we need to rely on team work in order to succeed.
I had always been treated like a little prince at home, but I am not anymore now after participating in different activities. I understand that I do not have abundant skills; nevertheless, I do have the passion to study in your course. I would be much grateful if I could be offered a chance to study in your course.
