Spirit of Discovery-The 9th Heilongjiang Challenge 2017 “Try Out”

​

Jointing snow sculptures competition is an excellent opportunity which enriched my learning experience. I spent a long period of time to accomplish competition, such as making a huge fabulous sculpture for 3 meter tall as well as gaining a merit award at the end. In the very beginning I knew nothing of sculpting, especially on a snow texture. After joining the program, it broadened my horizon.  I felt a sense of achievement to be a participant in the competition. 

 

By observing how the sculptures made by other groups, I have learnt the procedures and skills of sculptures. Moreover, it inspired me that learning is not only focusing on internal but surrounding environment.

 

It was said that if you fail to plan and you plan to fail. In the very beginning we lacked a effective inter-group communication so each group member worked wrongly due to unclear group role. When this problem identified by us, we changed to communicate effectively by planning a better execution plan that made everyone to know their own duty and to work smoothly.
